Some of my earliest memories were of my fascination with technology. From the time I could understand how to read words at the level necessary, I started asking my mother to buy me books about computer programming. The first book I snagged was about making text-based games in FreeBASIC. After toying around with that for a few years I tried to move directly into C++ and learned the hard way that a 12 year old has no business learning C++.
Fast forward a few years later and I was writing code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GML, and trying to learn C#. As I got older and went in and out of technology a few times, I eventually returned to studying the things that interested me the most. By the time I was 24 I got my first certification, which was in Python. Admittedly, I don’t really chase the goal of getting certified in different languages, as it is a costly approach and doesn’t necessarily align with my goals at this time, but it satisfied a course requirement for me in college, so it worked out nicely.
Aside from programming and game development, I enjoy working on web projects, which ultimately led to me making this website. While this is my first time using visual coding since my pre-teenage years, and I am more used to coding everything from scratch, this is a fun project so far.
I am a semi-active contributor on GitHub, namely on my personal projects, some of which are public and open-source, some of which are private repositories that I plan to release in other avenues. Some of which are video games, some of which are proofs of concepts for ideas, or were simply projects to help me learn certain technologies, languages, libraries, etc.
